After moving to Austin in 2016, I was able to attend Texas Laser Institute where I acquired my Laser Technician License as well as Esthetics License finally pursuing a long-time goal of being in this incredible industry. The school was just the foundation as I have continued to gain so much more knowledge through hands on experience and advanced training over the past eight years. I am certified in BBL photofacials, Moxi Laser skin resurfacing, SkinPen microneedling, Hydrafacial, Medical Grade Chemical Peels as well Dermaplaning. I am also a certified Phlebotomist.

What made you decide to become an aesthetician and how did you make that happen?

I have always loved skincare but ultimately it was the opportunity to get a photofacial years ago. It was to treat my pigmentation on my décolleté from years of inadequate sunscreen. The treatment was a game changer for me. My experience with the provider and the care she gave me made such an impact not to mention how it improved my sun damaged skin. I had a lightbulb moment of wanting to do this for others. It wasn’t until 2016 when we made the move to Austin that I decided to make that career change.

How did you choose Austin?

I met my husband while living in Seattle and he was born in the Austin area. We moved to be closer to family and the outdoor lifestyle and climate that this area provides.

How did you come to know Dr. Piazza?

I have a neighbor and friend who spoke highly of Dr. Piazza after seeing him for a procedure. I then started following his practice online. The reputation that the Piazza Center has created made me want to be a part of that team.

What is your favorite thing about working at The Piazza Center?

To be able to do what I love with a team full of knowledgeable, experienced providers that I get to collaborate with. I know my clients will be taken care of from start to finish.

What are your favorite treatments for yourself at The Piazza Center?

I love the results that are delivered from the BBL paired with the Moxi treatment. Minimum downtime makes it so easy to schedule.

You seem passionate about your work. Can you share some insights?

Preventative care is so important. I cannot emphasize enough what sunscreen and the reapplication of sunscreen can do for you long term. The following, though, is that at home, having the correct products for your skin concerns is just as important as getting your regular treatments. Your skin will thank you.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

I love to spend time with my family, friends and our two dogs. I find happiness in being outdoors, reading a good book and taking in shows at a local music venue with my husband.
