Profound® RF microneedling is an advanced, minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that we offer here at The Piazza Center in Austin, TX. It combines the collagen induction therapy of traditional microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy to provide long-lasting facial wrinkle reduction and skin tightening on the face, neck, and body.

Profound RF Microneedling For Upper Arms

One of the most common areas our patients want to discuss treating is the upper arms. Profound RF microneedling is the best treatment to address the skin and fat on the upper arms to give you a non-surgical arm lift. What I commonly hear from patients is a two-fold problem. They desire smaller arms or want to debulk the back side of their arms, and they have loose or crepey skin on their arms that they want to tighten.

We achieve the best outcomes for upper arms at The Piazza Center by combining two different Profound RF microneedling tips in a single treatment, which means less downtime and recovery for the patient. One tip specifically targets the subcutaneous tissue or the deeper parts of the skin to decrease bulk from unwanted fat. The dermal tip, which treats the more superficial layers of the skin, helps tighten the laxity or looseness of the skin.

Another option for treating flabby upper arms is to combine Profound RF microneedling with CoolSculpting® to remove unwanted fat from the backs of the arms, resulting in tighter, more shapely arms.

What Is a Profound RF Microneedling Treatment for Arms Like?

When patients come to our office for this procedure, our goal is for our patients to be as comfortable as possible during the treatment. What sets The Piazza Center apart is that your treatment is performed by board-certified registered nurses or a nurse practitioner with many years of experience in aesthetics. This enables us to offer our patients various avenues for pain control, whether that is taking an oral medication in office or administering ProNox® (laughing gas) if the patient desires.

We also inject a local anesthetic into the upper arms so that during the Profound treatment you don’t feel the treatment and you aren’t experiencing any pain.

Your Profound Upper Arm Treatment

This nonsurgical upper arm laxity and arm fat reduction procedure is performed in the clinic at The Piazza Center. Patients can plan to be in the office about 3 hours.

They will need a driver to take them home after the procedure if they choose to use oral pain medications or Pronox during the treatment.

After a Profound treatment of the upper arms, downtime is minimal since this area can and should be covered with clothing to protect it from the sun. Bruising, tenderness, and some swelling are expected after the treatment for up to a week. As your skin heals, you will see tighter skin and less fat on your arms over the course of several weeks.
