Rhinoplasty Demands A Custom Approach

Dr. Piazza and the surgeons at The Piazza Center do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Each rhinoplasty demands a tailored surgical plan because each nose is different, and all patients have unique needs to consider.

The Piazza Center surgeons have an extensive knowledge of advanced rhinoplasty techniques, and the discernment to know which technique is right for each person. In addition to their considerable skills, our surgeons build relationships with patients. This personalized care is the best way to understand what the patient needs, and deliver outcomes that they are proud to show off.

The Focus Of The Face

Aesthetically, the nose is the most important aspect of the face. Its centralized position makes it impossible to ignore, which can be a source of low-self esteem if the nose has bumps along the bridge, a droopy nasal tip, or is generally asymmetrical. Rhinoplasties are also important for non-cosmetic reasons, with many patients seeking them for relief from breathing problems or a deviated septum.

What Happens During A Rhinoplasty?

During a rhinoplasty, your Piazza Center board-certified surgeon carefully manipulates the cartilage, soft tissue, and bone of the nose. The two modalities are the open rhinoplasty and the closed rhinoplasty. Each approach is used to treat specific issues, though neither one is better than the other.

A closed, or endonasal rhinoplasty leaves no visible scars as it is conducted entirely inside the nose. An open rhinoplasty allows the surgeon to access the entire subdermal structure of the nose, and is often used for correcting a deviated septum, reshaping nostrils, or cartilage grafts. The open rhinoplasty has a longer recovery time and light scarring.

How Does Revision Rhinoplasty Work?

Unfortunately, bad nose jobs are not uncommon. It’s important to note that it is not the patient’s fault! Most botched rhinoplasties are due to poor communication or sub-par surgeons. A revision rhinoplasty, sometimes called a secondary rhinoplasty, is a complex procedure that demands skill and extensive experience.

The skilled surgeons at The Piazza Center are well-versed in corrective procedures, helping clients achieve the results they deserve. If you are interested in a revision rhinoplasty, note that it should be at least a year since your primary rhinoplasty.

Not Ready For Surgery?Liquid Rhinoplasty May Be Perfect For You

For patients who are not ready for a surgical rhinoplasty, a liquid rhinoplasty can achieve transformative results. During a liquid rhinoplasty, fillers are expertly applied to resolve a wide range of nose concerns, smoothing flaws and correcting size and shape. During this treatment, which requires no downtime, an elegant yet natural-looking appearance is achieved. You can see the results here.

A Premium Surgical Experience

The Piazza Center conducts rhinoplasties in state-of-the-art surgical suites at INSPIRE Surgical Centre, which are specifically designed for discretion and comfort. In addition to excellent, accredited surgical facilities, The Piazza Center specializes in delivering the smoothest anesthesia process possible. Our surgeons partner with dedicated anesthesiologist Dr. Cady, D.O., to ensure exceptional and personalized care.

Recovery From A Rhinoplasty

After an observation period, patients can return home or to their hotels accompanied by a loved one or medical aide. A splint is placed on the nose for protection, and should stay in place for about a week. Bruising, swelling, and redness are to be expected, and should subside within a week. Most patients feel comfortable being seen after this time.

Vigorous activity or combat sports should be avoided until your surgeon gives you clearance to resume. Each patient will receive a tailored recovery plan designed to match their lifestyle and recovery needs, which should be closely adhered to for optimal results. The Piazza Center specializes in high-touch recovery, which means that our surgeons dedicate considerable face time to patients even after healing has occurred.

A More Attractive Nose And Face

At The Piazza Center, everything we do is dedicated to ensuring that each patient is overjoyed with their results and able to Live Confidently. After a rhinoplasty, patients can expect to see an improvement in the way their nose looks and functions.

Though changes can be seen right after the procedure, it is important to note that rhinoplasty results take up to a year to settle due to low-level long-term swelling, typically unnoticeable to anyone besides the patient and their surgeon.
