Case 202
Case Details
This 42-year-old female patient was bothered by excess skin of the abdomen after her second and third pregnancies. She had extra skin and fatty tissue throughout the abdominal wall, with most of the excess below the level of the belly button. Stretch marks were present across the abdominal wall. She was not seeing any improvement to her abdomen through diet or exercise. It was not until she visited our Austin practice's tummy tuck webpage that she became more educated on why she wasn't seeing results.
She learned that her abdominal muscles had been pulled apart and weakened from pregnancy. She realized that weight gain in most cases cannot be reversed by eating fewer calories and spending more time working out. And she noticed she was not the only mother dealing with this post-pregnancy dilemma. She no longer wanted to feel frustrated with having adapted to a healthier lifestyle and not seeing results. She booked a consultation to meet with Dr. Pizza to restore her abdominal muscle back into place.
As you can see, he was able to repair her abdominal muscles, allowing him to restore the core architecture and achieve a flatter abdominal appearance.
