Case 213
Case Details
This 38-year-old patient came to see Dr. Piazza for revision of a previous breast augmentation. She had implants placed in 1993, at which time she was told she had a tuberous breast deformity. When she came to our Austin practice, she told us she was happy with her size but desired more cleavage and a perkier look.
During her consultation, Dr. Piazza discussed switching to a smooth, round, silicone gel implant to improve the feel and look of her breasts. She also required correction of the lower portion of her breasts, called a capsulectomy. This involves surgically releasing the scar tissue, or capsule, that has contracted around the breast implant by scoring the capsule with small incisions.
As you can see when you look at her postoperative photographs, her breasts now have a more natural appearance. She has increased upper fullness and cleavage. This patient has maintained her result for over a year and is quite pleased with the outcome.
