Breast Augmentation With a Breast Lift
Case 278
Case Details
This 47-year-old patient, mother of two, came to our Austin practice because she was interested in a breast augmentation with a lift. This patient had not only noticed changes in her breasts after having children but also had a significant weight loss, for these reasons she now felt her breasts were “saggy” and “deflated.” She desired her breasts to be rounder, fuller and higher in appearance.
She spoke with our surgical care coordinator at length about her desired results. She then visited with Dr. Piazza in consultation. To improve her appearance, Dr. Piazza recommended breast augmentation with round silicone gel implants in combination with a mastopexy (lift) procedure. Due to the nature of the patient’s breast skin, Dr. Piazza felt a breast augmentation and lift alone may not give her the long-term result she was hoping for. After a very thorough examination he suggested using a product called strattice in combination with her breast augmentation and lift procedure. Strattice creates an internal support that will help manage the excess skin and damage that was done to her breast tissue after pregnancy and weight loss.
This patient healed very well, and she was extremely happy with the improvement in her shape, size, and fullness. This was an outpatient procedure performed at Stonegate Surgery Center, a fully accredited surgical facility here in Austin
