Case 137
Case Details
This 21-year-old female battled with noticeable breast asymmetry since breast development as a teenager. She had become self-conscious about her breast appearance and decided to consult with Dr. Piazza at his Austin plastic surgery practice. She discussed with him that she did not like the takeoff of the breast from her chest and that she also disliked her large areolas. She did not like the fact that her nipples pointed downward. Dr. Piazza felt it was best to reshape her breast using a short-scar breast lift. In Austin, he uses liposuction to contour both the breast and body. For this patient he felt that liposuction contouring of the upper outer aspect of her breast would improve the final shape. In addition, he used a breast implant to balance the volume asymmetry. With the combination of these techniques, Dr. Piazza was able to give her much better symmetry and helped her to feel more confident.
